Filipino Community Gets a “Refresher Course” on Philippine Laws
06 June 2019, New York City –In an effort to provide the Filipino Community with updates on legal developments in the Philippines, the Philippine Consulate General in New York (PCGNY) hosted a well-attended Forum at the Philippine Center on 03 June. Atty. Melencio Sta. Maria Jr., who is Dean of the Far Eastern University Institute of Law, Professor of Law at Ateneo de Manila College of Law, a columnist for Manila Bulletin, and a broadcaster for TV5 and Radyo5, among his other concurrent occupations, served as PCGNY’s distinguished resource person.
Philippine Consulate General in New York Marks End of Successful Filipino Restaurant Week 2019
New York, 7 June 2019- The Philippine Consulate General in New York marked the successful conclusion of the Filipino Restaurant Week (FRW) 2019 with a closing event featuring kamayan, Filipino food, Tanduay cocktails, and Filipino music at Ugly Kitchen, one of the participating restaurants in Manhattan, on 30 June 2019.
Annual Parade in Manhattan Launches Philippine Independence Day Celebrations in the US Northeast
New York, 4 June 2019 – The Philippine Independence Day Parade was successfully held with festivities, cultural shows and dances along New York’s Madison Avenue on 2 June 2019.
03 June 2019, New York – More than 30 art pieces by renowned artist Fernando Q. Kabigting are featured in the exhibit titled “Milestones: A Celebration of Art and Life”. The exhibit’s opening washeld 31 May 2019 at the Philippine Center in New York.
