US Northeast Filipino-American Community Directory Now on its 3rd Edition

31 July 2019, New York — One hundred sixty two (162) Filipino-American organizations, most of which sent representatives to the 5th Filipino-American General Assembly held earlier this year, are listed inthe 3rd edition of the Filipino-American Community Directory which was launched and released by the Philippine Consulate General in New York on 31 July 2019.

Classic Film “Noli Me Tangere” featured at the Opening of Sinehan sa Summer 2019

01 August 2019, New York – Sinehan sa Summer 2019 or the 8th Edition of Sinehan sa Summer kicked off with a 1961 multi-awarded film “Noli Me Tangere” produced by Antonio Riva and Directed by Gerardo de Leon on 01 August 2019 at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center. The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) facilitated the permission at no cost to screen the film.

“The Filipino American Journey” Launched in New York

12 July 2019, New York – Josie Moralidad Ziman’s book “The Filipino American Journey, Stories of Survival and Success” was launched on 12 July 2019 at the Philippine Center in New York. The book features the narratives of Filipinos in America from various backgroundswhose difficulties, ordeals and successes inspire and give hope readers and especially to the Filipino migrant community.
