China, People's Republic of

Visa required. If the traveler is legally working, studying or residing in US, traveler may apply at the Philippine Consulate. If not residing in the US, the traveller must apply at the Philippine Embassy or Consulate in the country of residence. If the traveller has a visa issued by Australia, Canada, Japan, Schengen country or U.S.A, may enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay not exceeding 7 days for tourism purposes, provided that the traveler (1) has a national passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond contemplated stay (2) holds a valid ticket for the return journey to country of origin or next country of destination and (3) no derogatory record with the Bureau of Immigration.

Colombia

Hong Kong SAR

May enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay not exceeding fourteen (14) days , provided that the traveler holds a valid ticket for the return journey to country of origin or next country of destination and passport is valid for a period of at least six (6) months beyond the contemplated period of stay.

Hungary

India

Visa required. Traveler must apply for a visa at the Philippine Embassy or Philippine Consulate in the country of legal residence. Visa required for business , conference , training- , official and other non-leisure travel. Indian passport holders do not require a visa for tourism travel not exceeding fourteen (14) days provided that they hold a valid visa or permanent residence permit issued by Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Schengen country, U.K. or U.S.A. Traveler must have a valid national passport for at least six (6) months, beyond the contemplated stay and a return or onward ticket to the next country of destination and (3) No derogatory record with the Bureau of Immigration.

Indonesia

Eligible SRRV Applicants

Principal applicants must be foreign nationals (except those classified as restricted) or former Filipinos who are at least 35 years old, physically healthy and with no derogatory record can join the program.

Dependent spouse must be legally married to the Principal Retiree. Children must be legitimate or legally adopted by the Principal Retiree, unmarried and below 21 years old upon joining the program.

SRRVisa Options

SRRV Smile – For active/healthy retirees who opt to maintain their SRR Visa deposit of US$20,000.00 in any of the PRA-accredited banks.

SRRV Classic – For active/healthy retirees, who opt to use their SRR Visa deposit into active investment such as the purchase of condominium unit* or long term lease of house & lot. The SRR Visa deposit is as follows:

50 years old & above: US$ 10,000.00 (with a pension)**

50 years old & above: US$ 20,000.00 (without pension)

35 to 49 years old: US$ 50,000.00

*The value of the property must at least be US$50,000.00

**Required pension of at least US$ 800 for single / US$1,000 for couple

SRRV Human Touch – For ailing retirees, 35 years old & above, who need/require medical/clinical care. A monthly pension of at least US$1,500.00, a health insurance policy accepted in the Philippines, and an SRR Visa deposit of US$10,000.00 are required.

SRRV Courtesy – For former Filipinos, 35 years old & above. For foreign nationals, 50 years old & above, who are retired officers of International Organizations recognized by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). An SRR Visa deposit of US$1,500.00 is required.

SRRV Expanded Courtesy – For foreign nationals, 50 years old & above, who are retired Armed Force officers of foreign countries with existing military ties and/or agreement with the Philippine Government. A monthly pension of at least US$1,000.00 and an SRR Visa deposit of US$1,500.00 are required. The SRR Visa deposit includes the principal applicant and 2 dependents. Additional dependent, entails additional SRR Visa deposit of US$15,000 each (except for former Filipinos). CHILDREN must be legitimate or legally adopted by the Principal Retiree, unmarried and below 21 years old upon joining the program.

 

 

Procedure in Filing SRRV Application

Step 1: Deposit investment requirements

All applicants must open a U.S. dollar time deposit for a term of 6 months at the PRA-Accredited Banks in the Philippines.

Applicant may accomplish the PRA Telegraphic Transfer Form when remitting money to the PRA-Accredited Bank.

Step 2: Bank sends PRA Certification of Inward Remittance

Bank sends to the applicant a copy of the PRA Certification of Inward Remittance.

Step 3: Applicant goes to the Consulate General for authentication of documents and applies for a tourist visa

Step 4: Applicant submits the following documentary requirements to the PRA upon arrival in Manila

Additional requirements may be requested depending on the SRR Visa Option to be chosen by the SRRV applicant. The Medical and Police Clearances are valid up to 6 months from date of issuance. All documents issued outside of the Philippines must be translated in English, if necessary, and must contain Apostille Certification from the state where the applicant resides.

Step 5: If application is approved, PRA endorses an approval to Bureau of Immigration for issuance of SRRV to the applicant.

Quota Immigrant Visa Requirements

The Philippines allows the admission of quota immigrants not exceeding fifty (50) annually of any nationality whose country has diplomatic relations with the Philippines or grants the same immigration privilege to Filipino citizens.

Qualifications for Quota Immigrant Visa

1.     Lawfully entered the Philippines and remains under a lawful admission status

2.     No record of any derogatory information in any local or foreign law enforcement agency

3.     Not afflicted with any dangerous, contagious or loathsome disease

4.     Not violated any law or ordinance

5.     Possessed of qualifications, skills, scientific, educational or technical knowledge which will advance and be beneficial to the national interest

6.     Has a reciprocity agreement for a similar resident visa between his/her country and the Philippines

7.     Not been confined in any mental institution

8.     Has sufficient capital for a viable and sustainable investment which is approved by the Commissioner of Immigration

13(A)                                                                                 

13(A) is an immigrant visa issued to the wife or the husband or the unmarried child under twenty-one years of age of a Philippine citizen.

Requirements:

1.     Legal proof of relationship, i.e. marriage contract between the Philippine citizen and / Report of Marriage Contracted Abroad; birth certificate of Philippine citizen.

2.     Petition letter of the Filipino spouse/parent. Letter must be duly notarized.

3.     US Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond authorized period of stay in the Philippines. If not a US Citizen, applicant must show proof of legal residence in the US, in addition to the valid Foreign Passport.

4.     Duly-accomplished application form FA Form No. 3 . (Duly notarized by a notary public)

5.     Six (6) photographs (2″ x 2″) with white plain background, signed on the front left side.

6.     Medical Certification (DFA Form No. 11) duly accomplished by any physician whose signature must be notarized by a notary public. Must be submitted together with chest x-ray in digital image (CD format) and laboratory reports (original and two copies). Medical report must be valid for at least six (6) months prior to date of filing of application.

7.     Police Clearance Certificate taken not more than six (6) months prior to date of filing of visa application.

8.     Proof of the applicant’s financial capacity (e.g. title of real estate property, investment certificate, bank certificate of existing checking or savings account, or notarized Affidavit of Support from a relative in the Philippines).

9.     Visa fee of US$150.00 (Money order only; cash and personal checks not accepted. Money order has to be addressed to the “Philippine Consulate General, New York”.

Please submit above documents in triplicate, arranged in the following order/sequence:

13(B)

13(B) is an immigrant visa issued to a child of alien parents born during the temporary visit abroad of the mother.

Eligibility:

  

  • Mother has been previously admitted for permanent residence in the Philippines.
  • The child is accompanying or joining either of his parents in the Philippines.
  • The child applies for admission into the Philippines within five (5) years from the date of his birth.

 

Requirements: 

1.     US Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond authorized period of stay in the Philippines. If not a US Citizen, applicant must show proof of legal residence in the US, in addition to the valid Foreign Passport.

2.     Duly-accomplished application form FA Form No. 3. (Duly notarized by a notary public)

13(C)

13(C) is an immigrant visa issued to a child born subsequent to the issuance of the immigration visa of the accompanying parent, the visa not having expired.

Eligibility:

  • Parent’s immigrant visa remains valid.
  • Proof of child’s legitimacy, i.e. child’s birth certificate; parents’ marriage contract.

Requirements:

1.     US Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond authorized period of stay in the Philippines. If not a US Citizen, applicant must show proof of legal residence in the US, in addition to the valid Foreign Passport.

2.     Duly-accomplished application form FA Form No. 3. (Duly notarized by a notary public)

13(D)

13(D) is an immigrant visa issued to a woman who was a citizen of the Philippines and who lost her citizenship because of her marriage to an alien or by reason of the loss of Philippine citizenship by her husband, and her unmarried child under twenty-one, if accompanying or following to join her.

Eligibility:

  • Substantial proof that original entry and admission to the Philippines is lawful. 
  • Applicant must establish animus revertendi or an intention to return to an unrelinquished residence in the Philippines.
  • Applicant has no record of any derogatory information against the applicant in any local or foreign law enforcement agency. 

Requirements:

1.     US Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond authorized period of stay in the Philippines. If not a US Citizen, applicant must show proof of legal residence in the US, in addition to the valid Foreign Passport.

13(E) is an immigrant visa issued to a person previously lawfully admitted into the Philippines for permanent residence, who is returning from a temporary visit abroad to an unrelinquished residence in the Philippines.

13(F)

13(F) is an immigrant visa issued to the wife or the husband or the unmarried child under twenty-one years of age, of an alien lawfully admitted in the Philippines for permanent residence prior to the date on which the Immigration Act of the Philippines becomes effective and who is resident therein.

13(G)

13(G) is an immigrant visa issued to a natural born citizen of the Philippines, who has been naturalized in foreign country. [As amended by Republic Act No. 4376]

Eligibility:

  • Proof of being a natural-born citizen of the Philippines (i.e. NSO-issued birth certificate). 
  • Naturalization papers in a foreign country. 
  • Applicant has no record of any derogatory information against the applicant in any local or foreign law enforcement agency. 
  • Applicant must intend to reside permanently in the Philippines.

Requirements:

1.     US Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond authorized period of stay in the Philippines. If not a US Citizen, applicant must show proof of legal residence in the US, in addition to the valid Foreign Passport.

Special Investor's Resident Visa (SIRV)

The Special Investor’s Resident Visa (SIRV) entitles the holder to reside in the Philippines for an indefinite period as long as the required qualifications and investments are maintained.

Who can apply for a SIRV?

Any alien (except those classified as restricted) who are at least 21 years old, physically healthy, with no derogatory record and willing to invest at least $75,000.00 in an existing or new corporation in the Philippines can apply for SIRV. That particular Philippine corporation must be publicly listed, covered by the Investment Priority Plan (IPP) projects or engaged in the manufacturing or service sectors.

The applicant’s spouse and the unmarried children under 21 years of age may also be issued the same visa.

What are the privileges of having SIRV?

The holder may reside in the Philippines for as long as his investment subsists and is entitled to import used household goods and personal effects tax and duty-free as an alien coming to settle in the Philippines for the first time.

Procedure and Requirements:

Step 1: File application with the Consulate General or directly with Board of Investments in the Philippines and submit the following requirements:

Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond authorized period of stay in the Philippines and two (2) copies of a certified true copy of passport

Three (3) sets of the following documents:

SIRV Application Form with recent photographs (Please use SIRV Form No. 001A for Principal and SIRV Form No. 001B for spouse or dependents).

Deed of Undertaking (for Principal only) signed and notarized by the Philippine Consulate General

For Principal and for dependents who are 14 years old and above:

Accomplished Personal History Statement Form

Police Clearance issued abroad and contains Apostille Certification from the state where the applicant legal resides. The certificate must be taken not more than six (6) months prior to date of filing of visa application.

Medical Certificate with Apostille Certification and must be valid for six months from date of filing. 

Birth Certificate with Apostille Certification

Marriage Contract (if applicable) with Apostille Certification

Certificate of Inward Remittance from the correspondent banks of these Accredited Depository Banks (Land Bank of the Philippines or Development Bank of the Philippines).

Certificate of Peso Time Deposit (This will be forwarded by LBP or DBP to the One Stop SIRV Center in the Board of Investments within 24 hours of receipt of inward remittance).

Payment of fees:

Filing fee of US$500.00

Notarization: US$ 25.00 per document per copy

Courier Service – actual cost

Step 2: If the documents are complete, Consulate General will issue a stub from SIRV Form 001/1B and inform applicant that papers can be processed within 20 days provided applicant pays cost of courier service.

Step 3: Consulate General sends the application to the One-Stop SIRV Center-BOI for evaluation.

Step 4: If application is approved, the One-Stop SIRV Center-BOI endorses an approval to DFA Consular Affairs Division, which, in turn, will inform the Consulate General. Upon receipt of the Authority to Issue Visa, the Consulate General will issue to the applicant a probationary multiple-entry SIRV valid for six months.
