New York Consulate Caps Women’s Month with Wellness Session

29 March 2018, New York – The Philippine Consulate General in New York invited women from the Filipino Community to take part in a Wellness Session featuring Zumba routines led by instructor Shiran Ybañez on 27 March 2018 at the Philippine Center in New York. The activity capped the month-long commemoration of Women’s Month by the Philippine Consulate General.

Family Values and Social Issues Hot Topics During Battle of the Barrios XVII

NEW YORK, 26 March 2018 – DACA, racism, reverse brain drain, parental love, and family values were the core of the skits during the 17th Battle of the Barrios – the annual talent competition among Filipino student organizations under District 3 of the Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue (FIND) – held last 24 March at the Douglas Student Center of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Philippine Center in New York Hosts Circle of Memories Art Exhibit

New York, 11 April 2018– The art exhibit Circle of Memories featuring the paintings of artists Grace Marie Katigbak and the late Dr. Marcelito “Mars” Custodio opened to the public on 10 April 2018 at the Lobby Gallery of the Philippine Center.

Valor and Heroism of Filipino-American WWII Veterans Remembered by the Filipino Community in New York

New York, 7 April 2018– The Philippine Consulate General in New York, in cooperation with the Filipino Executive Council of Greater Philadelphia, Inc. (FECGP) and the Philippine Community of Southern New Jersey, commemorated the 76th Anniversary of Araw ng Kagitingan with a Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Bataan Death March Memorial in Cooper River Park, Cherry Hill, New Jersey which was followed by a commemorative program at the Philippine Center in Southern New Jersey in Stratford, New Jersey on 9 April 2017.
